6080 King’s Castle is one of the most revered Castle models ever produced by the LEGO Group. Released in 1984, it was the first large fortress to be constructed from new grey panel walls. It was big and imposing, using a – for the time – astounding 664 pieces.
Thanks to models like 21325 Medieval Blacksmith and 10305 Lion Knight’s Castle, lots of fans may be looking to collect some of these antique sets, but the price of treasures like King’s Castle can unfortunately make that difficult.
For those who can’t swing the hundreds of dollars required to get a decent used copy, this miniature version captures a lot of the original’s features for a fraction of the price. It hinges in the exact same way, opening into a long wall along with its closed fortress configuration. All of the towers, flags and even coloured shields present on the original have been re-created here at a miniature scale.
