Don your flippers and helmet, because it’s time to return to Aquazone with this miniature version of the biggest Aquaraiders set from 1997, 2162 Hydro Reef Wrecker. This group followed the original Aquanauts and represented a new faction within the wider story.
According to the lore, the Aquaraiders used drills to unearth hydrolator crystals, the rare mineral that allowed underwater breathing across the oceanic world. Recreating one of their signature vehicles in miniature form captures the distinct visual identity that made Aquazone such a beloved theme.
Maintaining the striking colour combination of green, black, and transparent neon green along with subtle accents of yellow is essential for authenticity. The design challenge is to represent the drills and canopy in a way that stays faithful to the original while working at a much smaller size.
