It’s time to drop into the carnage! There’s nothing that builds anticipation quite like being on the Battle Bus as you fly into a Fortnite: Battle Royale match. The symbol of the fan-favourite game mode has turned up elsewhere, including in LEGO Fortnite.
As well as appearing in the game, 77073 Battle Bus delivers the vehicle as a physical LEGO model, sporting its blue colour scheme and hot air balloon. All of those special details inspired this miniature version.
School buses, at least those in the US on which the Fortnite version is based, have very distinctive proportions and shapes. This is especially true of their length to width ratio. If either of those dimensions are too out of line, the whole build will look wrong. When designing this model, getting that scale right proved quite challenging. The key turned out to be making the Battle Bus three studs wide instead of four.
