Submissions open for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 10

LEGO BrickLink Designer Program has opened submissions for Series 10, giving fans a chance to see their designs turned into official BrickLink Designer Program LEGO sets.

Series 10 of the BrickLink Designer Program is currently accepting submissions through January 30, 2026, so you have an opportunity to see your idea turned into a real set—but you better hurry!

Some of the core guidelines you should be aware of when creating a design for Series 10 are:

  • Models must be between 400 and 4,000 pieces
  • Submissions must be built in Studio and submitted as a .io file
  • Models must be family-friendly and uphold the LEGO Group’s values (no politics, no extreme violence, no harm to nature, etc)
  • Models can’t be based on any internal or external IPs (no NINJAGO or Star Wars, for example)
  • Stability and legal building techniques are critical

There are more specific guidelines that delve into minifigure count, specific parts usage and more that can be found on BrickLink if you choose to submit a design. All the rules sound strict, but it mostly boils down to creating a LEGO model similar in build quality and tone to what you’d expect from an official LEGO set.

The BrickLink Designer Program operates similarly to LEGO Ideas, with fan designers submitting their product ideas in the hopes of seeing them turned into official sets. But instead of having to get the 10,000 supporters necessary on LEGO Ideas, BrickLink Designer Program sets have a “Crowd Support” phase, where community members vote on which designs they most want to move forward.

Once Crowd Support concludes, the BrickLink team reviews the designs themselves and announces the top five. Those five then go into a refinement stage, where the designs are double checked and adjusted if needed. Instructions are created at this point as well. This stage is different from LEGO Ideas in that the designs aren’t completely redone; they’re just evaluated and slightly tweaked to ensure they’ll make for high-quality, stable sets while remaining as true to the fan design as possible.

After the designs are finalised, they enter into the Crowdfunding stage, which gives fans the opportunity to preorder the favourite models. 3,000 orders per set are required to get them into production, and they only get one production run. Shipping the sets usually follows about six months later.

The timeline for Series 10 is as follows:

  • Submissions open until January 30, 2026
  • Crowd Support open February 9 – 20
  • Review February 20 – March 19
  • Five finalists announced March 19
  • Refining Finalist Designs from April 1 – January 4, 2027
  • Crowdfunding in February 2027
  • Shipping final sets in July 2027

July 2027 might seem like a long way away for a design submitted right now, but that is the time needed to ensure the sets are up to the same high standards as what has come before. And it’s sure to feel a lot faster for the designs going into production.

In the meantime, Series 7 is going up for preorder soon on February 16, 2026, with Series 8 and Series 9 following later this year. Stay tuned here for reminders for when each series goes live. And be sure to submit your designs for Series 10 by January 30, 2026, for a shot at having it become an official LEGO BrickLink Designer Program set.
