Given that Blocks magazine is a celebration of the LEGO hobby, in this special edition we speak to Jamie Berard. He started off as a child LEGO fan, grew up to become an AFOL, was hired by the LEGO Group and now heads the adult design team when he isn’t a Brickmaster on LEGO Masters USA. He shares some of his amazing story with Blocks and reveals how the modular building series got started.

Then we have another beloved LEGO legend taking us back to the 1980s. Niels Milan Pedersen discusses getting his job at the LEGO Group (which was very close to not happening), creating LEGO Pirates and working with Godtfred Kirk Christiansen.

100 Creative Connection demonstrates 100 ways to put LEGO elements together, at least some of which you will have never seen before. You won’t be able to resists using some of these inventive tricks in your next build project.

In Reviews, we look at some of the latest sets to see how they measure up, including The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Lunar New Year, Marvel and Super Mario.

There’s much more within the 116-page LEGO magazine, including a look at 40581 BIONICLE Tahu and Takua with Design Manager Nicolaas Vás, builds that reveal Blocks magazine’s historical origins and the top 10 Batman villains.

Blocks is giving away three 10303 Wildflower Bouquet sets! To be entered into the prize draw and to get Blocks magazine delivered every month – ahead of the shops – check out the money-saving subscription deals available.
