LEGO Ideas 21362 Mineral Collection official design revealed

LEGO Ideas 21362 Mineral Collection is bringing geological processes to the brick and now the official model design has been revealed, a few weeks ahead of its launch.

After being announced as an upcoming LEGO Ideas set almost a year ago, Dario Del Frate’s concept of a mineral collection inspired by the displays at the Natural History Museum of Milan has finally become a reality. The fan submitted it to the LEGO Ideas platform, saw it reach 10,000 votes from fellow users, then had it selected by the LEGO Group’s review panel.

21362 Mineral Collection will release October 1, 2025 for £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 and consists of 880 pieces. It features brick-built models of six different crystals – pyrite (fool’s gold), watermelon tourmaline, tangerine quartz, blue fluorite, red rhodochrosite and purple amethyst. These crystals can then be displayed on three freestanding shelf units that you can arrange as you wish, swapping the minerals to change up your display.

It stays very close to the original submission, with the biggest change being the tourmaline. In Dario’s submission this crystal was a piece of black tourmaline, associated with protecting against negative energy in crystal healing. However, 21362 Mineral Collection has a piece of more colourful watermelon tourmaline, which is a heart stone that promotes love and compassion.

Another change is the removal of the emerald geode. This is now a blue fluorite crystal instead. It lets the singular geode of purple amethyst stand out in the display, while also adding yet another splash of colour. It’s a crystal that helps relieve stress and encourage creativity. Meanwhile tangerine quartz is believed to promote joyful energy and release your inner child, which seems like the perfect crystal to match LEGO building.
