It will be a day long remembered, as 75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure has been unveiled as a new addition to the LEGO Star Wars collection.
During the May the 4th weekend, the LEGO Group is revealing many new LEGO Star Wars sets – in a year that has already seen the release of a huge range of SMART Play sets inspired by the classic trilogy, a series inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu, two new bust models, plus the new Ultimate Collector Series 75442 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter (which is available now with bonus freebies).
75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure borrows from previous big buildable minifigure, a format that started in the Harry Potter theme with 76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger in 2021 and recently delivered Classic Space 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure.
75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure uses 1,028 pieces, retails for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 and will launch on June 1. The built set measures 28cm tall. It has been announced alongside 75458 Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver Helmet.
The right am can be positioned in two different ways, depending how you want Darth Vader to hold the lightsaber. The left arm, hand and legs are all articulated. There are several bespoke decorated elements to help convey the character and a special cape to give him display presence.
There has been a lot of activity going on for May the 4th – and Blocks took the opportunity to speak to LEGO Design Manager César Soares about how he crafted 75442 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter.
To mark the special day, Blocks is offering a time-limited deal – anyone who takes out a 12 or 24 month print subscription to the monthly magazine for AFOLs will get a set of FREE LEGO Star Wars prints.
There’s also a special one-off LEGO Star Wars magazine to add to your bookshelf, which is packed with fascinating features, builds and interviews covering the brick galaxy far, far away.
