The LEGO Group is listening to fan feedback about redeeming LEGO Insiders rewards – it is now possible to order multiple rewards at once.
LEGO Insiders members have long expressed a desire to redeem rewards directly at checkout instead of creating a promotional code, only one of which could be used per order. Members can now add physical rewards directly to their bag from the Insiders Reward Centre and add up to three rewards in one transaction.
The updated rewards redemption experience launched in all markets on Tuesday, August 18th. Physical rewards codes that have already been created will continue to be honoured and the code-based redemption process has not changed for digital rewards such as sweepstakes, wallpapers and colouring sheets.
LEGO VIP made drastic changes in June 2019, revolutionising the points program by introducing physical and digital rewards for members. In the past, points could only be redeemed for a discount on your total order in $5 increments, which were simply applied during the checkout process. Changing the VIP program allowed members to redeem their points for physical rewards like the extremely rare 5004590 Bat-Pod, which sold out within minutes of the relaunch that summer.

Over the last few years, the LEGO Group has continued to innovate and diversify its reward offerings. Physical rewards not made up of LEGO bricks began to appear, like modular building-themed postcards and hats, magnets and art prints based on iconic LEGO themes. Perhaps more excitingly, exclusive sets were also released – the debacle surrounding one of the first VIP exclusive sets (5006744 Ulysses Space Probe in 2021) is particularly memorable.
LEGO VIP rebranded to LEGO Insiders in August 2023 and exclusive physical rewards are now released on a regular basis. Members could still redeem their points for a monetary discount throughout the changes, but were forced to go through the song-and-dance of creating a rewards code in predetermined amounts ($5, $10, $25 or $50) and then applying their codes at checkout. Unlike physical rewards, there was no limit to how many discount codes could be applied per order, but they had to be entered in a separate box in the payment section instead of in your cart like the physical reward codes.
Sounds confusing, doesn’t it? LEGO fans certainly thought so. After many years of begging for the old VIP discount process to return, the LEGO Group finally brought it back around December 2024, over five years after it changed.
Now, seven years after the introduction of physical rewards, LEGO Insiders members can finally redeem more than one item per order and bypass the code-creation process. Fans will be relieved to see the biggest pain point of the Insiders reward redemption experience addressed and get three items delivered at once.
