The women building LEGO, NINJAGO City Gardens and Porsche 911 in Blocks magazine Issue 77

In time for International Women’s Day, Blocks magazine Issue 77 is speaking to the women who make the LEGO magic happen, offering a special extended 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens cover and getting under the hood of the new 10295 Porsche 911.

You can get your copy of Blocks magazine Issue 77 now from our online shop, before it arrives in UK shops on March 4. Print subscribers are already starting to receive their copies, as they get the magazine early every month!

As March 8 marks International Women’s Day 2021, we’re speaking to some of the inspiring women who work at the LEGO Group. Starting at the top, we find out how Chief Product & Marketing Officer Julia Goldin oversees the entire LEGO product portfolio before hearing her views on making sure everyone is empowered at the company. We also hear from Tara Wike, Signe Lønholdt, Laura Perron and Signe Wiese about their vastly different but equally fascinating roles.

Then there’s the not-so-small matter of the immense 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens set. This month’s issue has a special gatefold cover that unfolds to reveal all three NINJAGO City sets presented together, with the three models lined up across three pages inside. Within the magazine’s regular pages there’s a set review and two guides for modding the model.

Another new set has pulled into the LEGO driveway, with 10295 Porsche 911 offering both the Turbo and the Targa in one set. Design Master Mike Psiaki reveals everything petrolheads will want to know, including why it’s in white, whose idea it was to make it a two-in-one and which version of the car is his favourite.

A long time ago in a toy shop far, far away, there was a selection of original LEGO Star Wars sets. Blockstalgia presents a misty-eyed look at the first ever X-wing and Snowspeeder, before the Jedi Starfighter is rebuilt in the style of those 1999 releases.

Regular readers will know that’s just a taste of what’s in store this month, as there’s also a primer for LEGO VIDIYO, a debate about whether new sets will be future classics and a look back at when LEGOLAND Billund opened. Regular sections include Month in MOCs, Ideas Showcase, Top Ten, Technique, Piece Perception, This LEGO Life and more.

Blocks is giving away two 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens sets this month! To be entered into the latest prize draw and to get Blocks magazine delivered every month – ahead of the shops – and check out the money-saving subscription deals available.
