Blocks, the monthly LEGO magazine, Issue 124

Blacktron has returned in LEGO Icons! Back in 1987, the Space subtheme brought something really fresh and Bjarne P. Tveskov reveals how it came about in response to demands from the US market in an exclusive interview. He has some fascinating insights, including why there are so many unique printed pieces, and even gives his take on the modern version of 6954 Renegade.

All prices include delivery.

Issue 124 of the monthly LEGO magazine continues to explore how the minifigure was created back in the 1970s, revealing how the various prototype models led to the design team coming up with the proportions for the static stage extra character, which were then carried over into the articulated minifigures fans know and love.

The most talented fans in the world have their models on display in LEGO House’s Masterpiece Gallery. Take a guided tour through the amazing builds that are currently on display in the Home of the Brick, with comments from some of the talented creatives behind them.

LEGO House Managing Director Kathrine Kirk Muff also stops by to build a LEGO set and have a chat. She shares stories from her fascinating career, including the earliest conversations about LEGO House, creating the global employee Play Day and launching Build to Give, the initiative that gets sets to children in need of play. Of course, Kathrine also provides a few hints about what’s coming next in the heart of Billund.

The Blocks team are also reviewing the latest LEGO sets, including the new modular building 10350 Tudor Corner, 10355 Blacktron Renegade, 10335 The Endurance and Collectible Minifigures Series 27. For gamers, there’s also a look at LEGO Horizon Adventures and LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life.

If you’d rather build a mini version of 10363 Leonardo DaVinci’s Flying Machine than find space for the full set, then you can use the exclusive instructions and parts list to put it together. There are also step by step guides to build Heihei from Moana and 7775 Aquabase Invasion from the classic Aqua Raiders theme.

You’ll find much more inside the 116-page magazine, which also includes the top 10 romantic LEGO sets, a method for creating brick lettering, a debate about licensed sets and much, much more.
