LEGO ONE PIECE has officially hit shelves, with the full range of sets now available for fans of the show to purchase, featuring minifigure versions of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates across seven sets.
2025’s highly anticipated LEGO ONE PIECE theme has launched alongside a host of other new August 1 releases. Fans of the show and of the classic LEGO Pirates theme should get the rum ready for a celebration and mega build session.
LEGO ONE PIECE is the first licensed theme to be inspired by anime, though technically the sets are based on the Netflix live-action adaptation, so there’s room to argue that point if you get pedantic. But that doesn’t change the fact that LEGO ONE PIECE sets are here — seven of them to be exact.
40799 Monkey D. Luffy Figure and 40800 Buggy the Clown Figure are two BrickHeadz sets, while the remaining five are all minifigure-based playsets. Those five are 75636 Windmill Village Hut; 75637 Buggy the Clown’s Circus Tent; 75638 Battle at Arlong Park; 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant; and 75639 The Going Merry Pirate Ship.
The sets are all based on Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the ONE PIECE anime. The anime premiered in Japan in 1999 and has since travelled the world and amassed more than 1,000 episodes, so it’s a show best not watched in one sitting. Both the anime and Netflix adaptation follow Monkey D. Luffy on his journey with his crew of Straw Hat Pirates to find the ‘One Piece’, a treasure that will grant Monkey the title of King of the Pirates. Netflix’s adaptation began in 2023, with the second season slated for 2026.
