LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian & Grogu sets unveilled

There are going to five LEGO sets for Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, featuring a new Baby Yoda figure, the return of the Razor Crest and an Anzellan (that’s Babu Frik’s gang) starship.

Five LEGO sets themed around the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu movie are launching in April. These models provide a first taste of the first movie from a galaxy far, far away in seven years. The events of the story will pick up after The Mandalorian Season 3, which concluded with Din Djarin and Grogu reaching out to the New Republic to earn a more honest living.

The first LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu sets are:

75460 New Republic X-Wing Starfighter will release on April 1, while the other four sets will follow on April 26. All five sets are based on the Mandaorian & Grogu film, which is scheduled to release on May 22, 2026. At the time of writing, details on the film are a bit sparse, so the sets provide a glimpse of what fans can expect from the beloved duo’s big screen debut. This wave of sets will follow the SMART Play Star Wars collection that is due to launch on March 1.

75447 The Razor Crest

1 / 24

After being unceremoniously blown up in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, the Razor Crest appears to have made a full recovery, albeit with some new colours. 75447 The Razor Crest is the second minifigure scale Razor Crest, following the first-ever LEGO version, 75292 The Razor Crest in 2020. The new model does appear to be a bit smaller in total footprint and does use a tad fewer pieces — 930 versus 1,023. Both of course are much smaller than the epic Ultimate Collector Series 75331 The Razor Crest.

Functionality does look to be roughly the same between the two versions, with the new one featuring an opening cockpit made from the same viewport and folding side panels to access the cargo bay. Figures this time around include a new Grogu that forgoes the minifigure baby element in favour of a more accurately shaped piece with printing showing his new armour; a new Zeb figure, bringing back the popular Star Wars: Rebels character; Colonel Ward, Sigourney Weaver’s New Republic character; a very out-matched Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper; and of course, the Mandalorian.

75445 Anzellan Starship

2 / 19

The Rise of Skywalker was a divisive conclusion to the mainline Star Wars films, but one thing most fans agreed on was the oddball cuteness of Babu Frik, an Anzellan droidsmith. After showing up in Season 3 of the show, those little aliens are getting an expanded role in The Mandalorian & Grogu — one that seems like it’ll be fairly significant if it’s warranting a 701-piece starship model (though their final involvement in the film is yet unknown).

75445 Anzellan Starship has a similar overall vibe to the Razor Crest build, though it is unique enough to be a solid addition to any collection as a way to break up the many Rebel and Imperial craft. Interior space is generous compared to the size of the ship, which is a tad bit ironic considering the set has no minifigures — just Grogu and two Anzellan figures. Plus a Battle Droid that can either be built or disassembled to serve as decorative scrap for the workshop.

75444 AT-RT Attack

3 / 14

LEGO Star Wars and AT-RTs have long been a common combo and the apparent appearance of an Imperial AT-RT in the film is the perfect excuse to include one in the wave of tie-in sets. 75444 AT-RT Attack’s 297 pieces are split between the walker and a turret for the Imperial AT-RT Driver, who is presumably pretty peeved his namesake has been nicked by a bounty hunter and a baby.

The Imperial AT-RT has the same blueprint as other recent models, but the gunmetal colour scheme and bulky engine at the back change things up enough to feel fresh. The turret is very reminiscent of Hoth turrets used by the Rebel Alliance, just with a much beefier weapon — two stud shooters are ready for action. The AT-RT actually has two as well, making this a pretty high-powered set. Also worthy of note is the turret’s base having ball joint elements at the base, suggesting this will be able to connect to future sets.

75460 New Republic X-wing Starfighter

4 / 20

Death, taxes and X-wings is a likely variant of the common quip for those living in the galaxy far, far away, though 75460 New Republic X-wing Starfighter is a new take — the set’s 558 pieces create the first-ever New Republic version of the craft, which has previously only been seen in Rebel Alliance and Resistance styles.

The basic design looks to be fairly similar to recent X-Wing models, utilising the newer style of mechanism for the S-foils – it is more sophisticated than the SMART Play 75423 Lukes Red Five X-wing though. Colour scheme and decorations are really what sets this apart as a New Republic ship, with its deep blue highlights painted on the standard white base. Colonel Ward gets a pilot outfit in this set and Carson Teva sees his minifigure debut. There’s also the obligatory astromech to help pilot the ship.

40856 The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains

5 / 19

40856 The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains is the name of the wave’s 661-piece BrickHeadz set, but unless there’s some treachery in the works from the Anzellans or Colonel Ward, the Imperial Remnant Snowtrooper is the only foe present in the box. The Imperials really can’t catch a break in this wave.

Mando and Grogu are similar to their previous BrickHeadz iteration, just with some slight style changes like the addition of Grogu’s Mandalorian armour. The Anzellan doesn’t quite capture the unique look of the species, but in BrickHeadz style, this might be about as good as it can get. Colonel Ward is a simpler character, while the Snowtrooper is heavily armoured and will stand out in any army lineup.

All five sets are launching this April ahead of the film’s premiere on May 22. Did you know that they were announced at 5.00am in the morning?
