LEGO Star Wars 75446 Grogu Mandalorian Apprentice coming for the new movie

Another LEGO set based on Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu has been revealed: 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice).

LEGO Star Wars 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) will come with 1,200 pieces and retail for £119.99 / $129.99 / €129.99, releasing on April 26, 2026, alongside previously revealed The Mandalorian & Grogu sets that include a new Razor Crest.

75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) is based on the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, which is set to premiere on May 22. Plot details for the film are sparse for now, but the story looks like it will follow the Mandalorian and Grogu as they team up with the New Republic to fight the Imperial Remnant.

As for this new set, it is the third large, brick-built Grogu figure to be released, following 2020’s 75318 The Child and 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram, which came out in early 2025. 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) looks to be closer to the style of the 2020 set rather than the more recent iteration. The new version’s head is similar to the 2020 build, while the body has had a significant overhaul.

The new set employs a variety of large, sloped elements to create the flowing shape of Grogu’s outfit. On the back, there’s a knob sticking out that can move the head, which is a fun trick but not a huge upgrade from past models.

What is an upgrade from 75318 The Child are the poseable arms. The 2020 set was entirely static in this regard; the new one will have some articulation. To what degree this articulation will be isn’t fully clear from the initial images, but the model will at least be posable more than the old one. It does lack the mechanism to position the arms from 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram, but that version is at a smaller scale and in a different style.

The only true addition to this version of Grogu is his Mandalorian armour, here represented by a large dish element printed with the mudhorn insignia. The strap that holds the armour can be removed for those who prefer a classic look for Grogu (‘classic’ may feel like an exaggeration, but it has been seven years since fans were shocked by the character’s reveal…).

While this isn’t an Ultimate Collector Series model (nor 18+), there is a UCS-style display plaque that holds the included minifigure scale Grogu. This is the new version that uses a specialised torso/leg piece, and it comes with printed detail for the armour. It’s a nice inclusion to have on the stand, though this version of Grogu appears in two other sets that have already been revealed, so minifigure collectors needn’t feel any pressure here.

75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) is due to release on April 26, 2026. Four other The Mandalorian & Grogu sets releasing the same day have also been revealed, plus one coming out on April 1. This wave of sets will follow the SMART Play Star Wars collection that is due to launch on March 1.
