LEGO NINJAGO will start 2027 with 71888 Ivo’s Ninja Dojo, an epic set that will encourage fans to play out adventures from the Legends Embers + Ashes animated series.
71888 Ivo’s Ninja Dojo will be one of 2027’s first NINJAGO sets when it launches on January 1. Priced at £249.99 / $279.99, it is made up of 3,495 pieces. It also comes with an exclusive poster.
The set builds a relatively square temple, with some angled sections to make the composition more interesting. You can remove levels to discover the builds secrets – there are hidden treasures, ninja decorations, elemental lanterns and more. To make battles more dramatic, there are intentionally breakable sections and mechanisms to make fights kinetic.

One spinning mechanism helps the ninja train, a falling terrain mechanism spells danger for the losing warrior another dial reveals a hidden passage. The set also builds a hoverbike.

“This is our 2027 D2C, aka the big one,” says Model Designer Marin Stipković. “We wanted to celebrate NINJAGO Legends by doing a new location from NINJAGO City, but it doesn’t fit in the NINJAGO City modulars.
“It’s a beautiful display model, but we also wanted to add a lot of play in there. So, for example, we’ve got the hover bike here, and right now it’s parked hovering next to this wooden platform. We’ve got this training dummy that the ninja can train with. Also, there’s this treacherous rock platform that can collapse.
“From the outdoor training space, you can also go indoors, because we have an open back with lots of funny and interesting play features. For example, here in the office, we’ve got some hidden weapons in the desk. There’s also stepping stones that rock, and we have the basement vault and there’s a secret entrance here. You can view the stairs to get down to the basement.”
The set is inspired by the NINJAGO Legends Embers + Ashes animated series. It will debut in March 2027 and follow the exploits of Jyn, Meera and Nate, a new generation of ninja, across 10 episodes.
When the set launches, there will be a bonus free model available at LEGO.com – so you might be able to get 40976 Prosperity Lion with it.
