LEGO Modular Building 10297 Boutique Hotel launching soon

Celebrating 15 years of the adult orientated detailed LEGO Modular Building Collection, 10297 Boutique Hotel will launch on January 1 and offer a Mediterranean looking corner hotel.

It’s time to take a look at the new entry in the Modular Building Collection, with 10297 Boutique Hotel continuing the long-running series and marking its 15th (is that a thing?) anniversary. To mark the occasion, references to previous sets are included throughout the model – including 10182 Café Corner, with the little coffee stand nodding to the classic set’s awning.

This new entry in the series captures the vibe of a quirky old town structure, with the colour scheme and palm tree suggesting a Mediterranean setting. As well as the main hotel, that is a fabulously angled building, there’s an art store next door and an al fresco bar.

10297 Boutique Hotel measures 39cm high, 25cm wide and 25cm deep. You can read the Blocks review of the set in Issue 87, launching later this month.

‘It was really exciting to be working on the LEGO Boutique Hotel and to have the opportunity to design this in celebration of 15 years of the collection,’ says LEGO Model Designer Anderson Grubb. ‘When we approach the design for a modular building we are conscious of the previous sets and therefore want to create something that is new, that really compliments the collection. I am really happy with the final design, the variety of intriguing building techniques and all the nods to the previous modular buildings.’
