LEGO Masters Jr. coming to Fox – starring a talented Blocks builder

A new version of LEGO Masters is coming to Fox, with Kelly Osbourne as host and the super talented Will Tachick as a contestant.

Kelly Osbourne is going to host LEGO Masters Jr. for Fox, a new version of the US series that will see young contestants paired with celebrities. Over four weeks, contestants aged between nine and seventeen will be paired with household names including Ravi Patel, Andy Richter, Jordin Sparks, Alison Sweeney and Porsha Williams.

LEGO design professionals Amy Corbett and Boone Langston will serve as Brickmasters, giving new challenges to the contestants each week. In the finale, the top teams go head-to-head for a $50,000 grand prize, a LEGO trophy and the title of LEGO Masters Jr. champions.

The first episode will air on August 18, Variety reports.

Junior builders competing are Vincent and Hudson, Ajay and Zak, Stelle and Chelle, Max and Zoe, Will and Crosby – if Will’s name is not familiar, it should be – he is the same Will Tachick who creates amazing build instructions for Blocks, the monthly LEGO magazine, in every issue. Given his amazing build skills, he’s definitely one to watch. Blocks team members have form on LEGO Masters, as Steve Guinness was one of the first ever title holders when he competed in the initial series.

“I grew up in LEGO and I’m a big fan of the show,” said Ravi Patel in a quote that falls foul of LEGO brand guidelines. “But I had like one big box of LEGO. This show made me realise that I needed way more.

“I did this for my kids. I cannot wait to watch with them. I’m hoping it impresses them. But know my 9-year-old would never want to be on the show. She does not like attention, and I have no idea where she gets that from.”

“Both of my kids are super excited that I’m a part of the show,” said Alison Sweeney. “Ben is 20 now, but when he was younger, he had a massive LEGO collection so he was particularly psyched for me to be on the show.

“Megan is now 16 and she is very competitive, so she was pumping me up beforehand saying, ‘You got this, Mom!’ My kids laughed when I told them I was ‘mom-ing’ my teammates when they’d get feisty with each other.”
