LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is going big with its next set: 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier is coming soon.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier will come with 3,057 pieces, 6 minifigures and retail for £329.99 / $399.99 / €369.99, releasing on June 1, 2026. It is likely to go up for preorder before then.
This isn’t the first time that the Helicarrier has had a giant LEGO set inspired by it — 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier released in 2015 as one of the first large-scale, collector sets in the theme. Its 2,992 pieces were a lot for its day, but don’t stack up to modern-day display sets like 76296 Avengers Tower. 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier falls on the smaller end of the spectrum for massive 18+ sets, but it still beats out the original by about 60 pieces.
As for dimensions, the new set is 68cm (26.5in) long and 30cm (11.5in) tall when on its display stand. The original was 78cm (31in) long and 27cm (11in) tall. So the new one is a tad bit smaller, mostly in terms of length, but significantly upgrade building techniques with more modern pieces should be a good trade-off there.
In its smaller footprint, the new model packs in everything you’d expect from the Helicarrier, including its turbines, the runways and control tower, plus interior detail. The overall exterior appearance is much sleeker than the original model, thanks to a decade of new parts and fresh techniques. Tiles are the name of the game this time around while the original is covered mostly by studs. It is worth noting as well that the original model’s feature of spinning the turbines via crank or Power Functions is not present on the new set.

Like the original, there is interior detail to found by removing the runways. The inside is built in microscale, so the included minifigures won’t have much to do, but it makes the model more interactive than a static display set. Some of the details include the control room with (very) small representations of crew and a space hiding a Captain America comic book cover.
The minifigure selection is a mix of characters from 2012’s The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Solider. Hawkeye and Agent Coulson are the two Avengers-only characters, while Maria Hill, Nick Fury and Captain America appear in both films. The Winter Soldier makes an appearance for the film named after him. All six figures appear to be new and exclusive — these are the first Maria Hill, Agent Coulson and Nick Fury figures in a number of years, so fans should be happy to see them here. Most of the figures get some combination of arm and leg printing, with Captain America and the Winter Solider looking to be the most detailed while Agent Coulson is fairly plain.
All six figures can fit on the bottom of the display stand, with some clear elements allowing you to place them in dynamic poses. Unlike the original model, there is not a separate display for the minifigures. A mini Quinjet model is also included with a clear element to have it fly above the Helicarrier, shown in the official images above a burning turbine, helping to convey the main model’s scale. A classic Marvel comic book sticker is included and you tuck it away on a tile inside the set during the build process.
Even though it has been done before, the designers chose The Avengers helicarrier over the Insight ones from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. “When you’re thinking of the helicarrier, you’re thinking of the guy playing Galaga, the Hulk jumping on the jet, the big fight through the hangar bay and the argument about Loki’s staff and everything, that all happens in this,” says Senior Model Designer Mark Stafford. “We chose to go with the classic Avengers good guy vehicle. We did experiment with trying an Insight one but the big belly where the stand needs to be is a bit of an issue as well.
“It’s unlikely that will happen but we definitely looked at it and we put the Winter Soldier in here because everybody remembers helicarriers in that movie… but unless you have spent as much time staring at them as I have, you might not realise how different the Insight ones are.”
Senior Graphic Designer Mark Tranter explains what is new about the minifigures. “We have Captain America, he has a new helmet, new torso, new arm prints, new legs, new shield. We have Nick Fury with new head, new torso, new legs. Agent Coulson has new head and torso. Maria Hill has new head, new torso, two new arm printings. Mind-controlled Hawkeye has a new head, new torso, and the Winter Soldier has new head, new torso, new legs and new arm.”
