Fans can now get a full look at the new dino set, 77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler, which takes a vehicle from classic cinema and replicates it using the LEGO System.
Full details are now available for the recently revealed 77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler, part of the Jurassic World theme, with a whole collection of new boxes announced. The set uses 1,924 pieces and is priced at £179.99 / $199.99 / €199.99. It may be available to preorder now at LEGO.com and will launch on May 7.
The set is inspired by the original Jurassic Park film from 1993, with the core version of the mode based on the scene in which Dennis Nedry is departing Jurassic Park with his valuable shaving foam can full of dino DNA, as it includes the East Dock sign that doesn’t prove all that illuminating in the midst of a storm. A large canvas element adds a key element of the car.
77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler also builds three alternative versions of the jeep, so that you can capture the different cars that appear throughout the movie, with different numbers included. It is built at 1:10 scale and the spare tyre can be used to steer the model.

Builders won’t have to commit to just one version of the car. “There will be extra plates, tiles, you don’t have to take the stickers off, you just change the tiles,” says Senior Model Designer Henrik Rubin Saaby.
“You’ve got the headlights, you’ve got steering in the back, you can open up, you can see into the engine, you can take the engine out if you want, open the door and close it.”
Design Master Mike Psiaki created a sketch model for the set a decade ago, which provided the inspiration for the polished official release build. “It was a good starting point, even though it has changed a lot since that one, it was a quick sketch model,” says Henrik.
“We had Nedry before, this is a new version, with the raincoat, the hood and he still has the Barbasol can in his hand,” says Henrik. The decorated info tile is a new element – a 4×8 tile.
