About the Author
Barbara Bratzel is a K-8 STEM teacher who consults at the Center for Engineering and Education Outreach at Tufts University. She has been a keynote speaker and workshop leader at LEGO robotics educational conferences around the world, and she’s the author of several robotics books for teachers, including Makerspace LEGO® (College House Books).
Rob Torok teaches Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Design at a senior secondary school in Tasmania. He has run robotics workshops for teachers and students, and consulted for LEGO Education Australia and the Center for Engineering and Education Outreach at Tufts University. He contributed a chapter to The LEGO® MINDSTORMS NXT Idea Book (No Starch Press).

Reviewed in the United States on 29 November 2022In the desktop Kindle app, the book displays fine and is readable but I bought it for my Kindle 6'' Paperwhite (bought in 2018), so that's what my review is about.
In the page display settings, there is just a limited Layout menu, no Themes or Font settings.
By default, the book has some margins that make the page even smaller, but at least there is a setting to remove them. Some page are blank, so you're not sure whether the page hasn't properly loaded yet; having "Page intentionally left blank" seems redundant but in some cases is actually quite helpful.
The text is small, very light gray text over white. You'll need a magnifying glass to read the code in python or in the visual code blocks (where the block colors are translated to shades of grey, kind of ok enough to read once magnified). The images are actually the only thing that come out good, except when there is some text.
I haven't read the book itself yet, but noticed it doesn't have building instructions, just a couple of images of the model and a text description of it. It has interesting activities and extended topics ('Think about it'). An issue with making robots move and turn is that the sample programs may not produce the expected movements with your own hardware (the exact distance, or the exact turning angle) and there is a discussion about tuning it, so that's appreciated.
