    Brings back my childhood days
    I was in my teens when LEGO started doing their space series, so I sort of missed out on the Blacktron days. Now, with my interest in LEGO building renewed, and the return of the original LEGO astronauts, I'm glad to finally get a Blacktron set. The build is good, with sections you can add and rearrange. The robot is a bit clunky and doesn't really fit inside the ship, but the rest of the set is outstanding.

      My first lego set almost in 20 years. A little spendy when you compare the part count to the larger renegade ship but still alot of fun to build. Some steps are quite subtle so you need to pay attention. if your like me and work ahead your gonna have to go back and figure out why because some build technique standards have changed over the years. Fantastic and detailed re imagining of the orginal set from the 80s. Getting it only made me want the renegade set more so later I got that too.

      Blacktron made a come back and this is brilliant little recreation of the classic Blacktron transport ship. I loved putting it together and I found the new modern pieces and techniques to compliment the old one so well.

      I'm comparing this to the set I put together directly before this which was Pharrell Williams spaceship which was one of the worst sets I've ever slogged through and kind of insult to ship building also why did Pharrell have 50 of best friend's heads in a chamber? Is he like the Governor from Walking Dead. I don't know but this Blacktron set made me almost forget everything that happened with that Williams set until just now, I'm sorry.

      The Blacktron theme came out in the late 80s, and I had a few of their original models. Seeing Lego re-issue this one (which I did not have) getting it even at a bit of a premium price was effectively a no-brainer. It makes perfect use of more modern building techniques and replacing unique printed pieces with pieces + stickers makes it a better use of plastics overall. Loving the old modular design, as well.
