Free LEGO Star Wars Darksaber and more for May the Fourth 2026

LEGO Star Wars has announced this year’s May the Fourth promotions and events, including a free Darksaber set and LEGO designer set signings.

2026’s May the Fourth be with you celebrations will include a free LEGO Darksaber set, a make and take event and LEGO designer signings… plus the release of 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter.

May 4 is one of the most important dates in a LEGO Star Wars fan’s calendar, as the day has come with new sets and exciting promotions for well over a decade. This year is no exception, and there’s plenty for fans to get excited about.

The headline is the release of 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter, the latest UCS set. It will come with 1,809 pieces, 2 minifigures and retail for £229.99 / $249.99 / €249.99. It will launch on May 1 at LEGO.com.

There’s no exclusive minifigure for the free LEGO set this year, as the individual polybags are long-retired and the promo set doesn’t include any. But that’s no reason to complain, as 40917 The Darksaber is this year’s free set.

Shoppers who spend £145 / $160 / €160 from May 1 – 6 will receive the exclusive model as a free bonus. The build is similar to previous lightsaber hilt models but is designed to match the Darksaber’s unique design. It’s a fitting choice to be the promo, as it’s available just a few weeks before Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu releases in cinemas.

Upgrade your LEGO hobby! If you take out a subscription to Blocks, the monthly magazine for LEGO fans, you’ll get each issue first and at a discount, plus other perks including a free digital subscription and the chance to win LEGO prizes every month.

Those who purchase 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter will automatically get 40917 The Darksaber thanks to the set’s hefty price tag, plus The Mandalorian and Grogu Display. The latter freebie isn’t a set, rather a lenticular film strip featuring Mando and Grogu in the N-1. It comes in a decorative box and has a display stand.

The final free bit of LEGO bricks you can get is at select LEGO Stores: There’s a make and take for a mini N-1 from May 2 – 4. Check with your local store to see if it’s participating.

Fans lucky enough to live near the London Leicester Square or München Zentrum LEGO Stores will have a chance to meet Design Manager César Soares, the designer behind 75442 The Mandalorians N-1 Starfighter. He’ll be available to sign copies of the set from 10am – 12pm local time; due to the laws of space and time, he’ll be at the two stores on different days: London on May 1 and Munich on May 2.

There have not been any announcements of double Insiders points or set discounts this year but be sure to check LEGO.com starting May 1 to see if there are any deals.
