The LEGO Group has released the itinerary for its free British Grand Prix Family Watch Party, taking place at Battersea Power Station in London on July 6, 2025, including watching the big race on the big screen and checking out a life-size LEGO car.
Battersea Power Station will be hosting the LEGO Group’s British Grand Prix Family Watch Party on July 6, 2025, from 10am to 6pm. The full itinerary has been released, giving fans a taste of the racing and brick-built activities that can be had in Battersea Park while they watch the race on the big screen and cheer on their favourite racers.
The event is part of the LEGO Group’s Build the Thrill collaboration with F1 for the racing giant’s 75th anniversary season. Part of that special season, the British Grand Prix is scheduled to hit the track on July 6, and the LEGO Group is celebrating with family-friendly activities in Battersea Park along the Thames. The event is free to attend and does not require any booking — you’re free to pop in the day of and enjoy the party.
Likely to be the main attraction for most fans, a life-size LEGO McLaren car will be in attendance. The car is fully functional, having taken part in the Miami Grand Prix Driver’s Parade earlier this year, driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The LEGO McLaren has roughly 400,000 pieces and weighs over 1,500kg, making it a worthwhile photo op.

As is usual for events hosted by the LEGO Group, there will be building activities to take part in. A Make & Take Zone is the most enticing, as it’s an opportunity to go home with a few free LEGO bricks in the form of an F1-themed build. And for those who are all right with leaving their build behind, there’s also set to be a speed building challenge, called LEGO Rapid Repairs, themed after the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it repairs carried out at an F1 pit stop (which take an average of about three seconds). Lastly, the LEGO X F1 Reflex Game will, unsurprisingly, give you a chance to test your reflexes with another F1-themed challenge.
The full lineup of LEGO Formula 1 sets will be on display as well — a tempting bit of advertising for the LEGO Store inside Battersea Power Station. But for those who can resist the call of the LEGO Store, the event remains free to attend.
And of course, a big screen will be showing the 2025 British Grand Prix so you don’t have to miss out on the thrilling race while at the event. Coverage of the race is set to begin as the event opens at 10am BST. There is a chance you’ll be caught in a queue to limit the flow of traffic coming into the event, so do be sure to get there in plenty of time if you’re determined to see the race on the big screen while taking advantage of the activities on offer. If you’re just looking to get your hands on the Make & Take build, as long as you’re there before the event’s 6.00pm close, you should be all right.
